JMJ Accountancy is made up of a small focused team who are here to help small to medium businesses in Hertford and the South East of England and surrounding area to grow and focus on what they are good at whilst we provide the support and advice needed to help them achieve their goals.
We currently look after clients all over the UK utilising technology for remote access where necessary or email and post. We look for the best person to work with our clients and aim to provide at least two contacts who are familiar with you and your business so that it is easier to get a quick response to any queries that arise.
Our team includes the following team members:
John Johnstone
John established the firm in 2007 to provide a personal value for money accountancy and business support service to local businesses. John has been working in the accountancy profession since 1984 and has worked for a five partner practice in Cambridge before the firm was merged with KPMG where he worked and trained until 1994 gaining valuable experience of not only a local firm of Chartered Accountants but also a multi national firm with all the training and experience that provides.
In 1994 John joined Thickbroom Coventry where he was a manger and then became a partner building up his own portfolio of clients until in 2007 he decided to set up JMJ Accountancy in Hertford to provide a wider range of bespoke services to small to medium sized businesses.

Ken Grimes
Ken joined JMJ Accountancy in 2009 and deals with a wide range of clients. Ken is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has 30 years of accountancy experience. Ken trained at one of the top ten accountancy firms in London and went on to become Senior Manager and then a Partner of another top ten accountancy firm in 1994, before deciding to set up his own accountancy practice in 2001. In 2009 Ken joined John to add his experience and contacts to the team.
Ken enjoys gardening and holds a season ticket at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Dawn Goodey
Having previously worked with John for three years at Thickbroom Coventry, before relocating to Birmingham in 2004, Dawn has recently returned to Hertfordshire and joined John and the team at JMJ Accountancy.
Dawn qualified as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2003 and went on to pass exams for the Association of Taxation Technicians in 2005. During her time in Birmingham, Dawn gained over 6 years’ experience in practice as a personal tax advisor, specialising in Doctors and Consultant Specialists in the medical profession.
Dawn enjoys socialising, eating out and meeting new people.

Liliana Grigore
Liliana has worked with JMJ Accountancy since 2007 and she is currently studying towards the Association of Accounting Technicians. Liliana works part time and deals with bookkeeping and accounts as well as providing support for the Romanian business community.
Liliana enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her little boy.

Rozanna Green
Rozanna is responsible for our payroll bureau solution and is in regular contact with our clients to provide a personal bespoke payroll solution where clients recognise the value of outsourcing the payroll function.
Rozanna joined JMJ Accountancy during 2011 and is responsible for running the payroll bureau for many of our clients. She also is your first point of contact with regard to any Tax Credit queries. In her spare time, Rozanna enjoys music, martial arts and holidays!

Leanne Marsh
Leanne is the receptionist and administrator at JMJ Accountancy and has worked here since the summer of 2010. Leanne deals with all administrative tasks, including arranging meetings between staff and clients. Rozanna is also currently training Leanne on the processes involved in running the weekly and monthly payroll.
Leanne enjoys fashion, music and travelling.
